We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone, and to help in whatever way we can, we at Flying carpet have compiled a list of organizations that are extending relief to artists that are affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic. (Obviously, we’re furiously applying for the grants for institutions, but we’ve come across a few that are more for individuals, and wanted to pass along the info…)

1.Artist Relief. This initiative helps artists affected by COVID-19, and we want to share it with you. This national, multidisciplinary initiative offers immediate individual grants of $5,000 to those in need, as well as resources to alleviate the effects of the pandemic. 2.This list is specifically designed to serve freelance artists, and those interested in supporting the independent artist community. This includes, but is not limited to, actors, designers, producers, technicians, stage managers, musicians, composers, choreographers, visual artists, filmmakers, craft artists, teaching artists, dancers, writers & playwrights, photographers, etc. LINK: https://covid19freelanceartistresource.wordpress.com/

3. Twenty Summer has launched an emergency fund for artists and arts organizations suffering from unexpected and unmanageable financial loss as a result of the COVID-19. 4. The Actors Fund provides services and financial support to entertainment professionals facing personal or work-related problems. It is also a conduit for emergency financial assistance in times of pressing need or in response to catastrophic events. Finally, Art Newspaper has gathered information about grants and loans in the US and Europe to help self-employed artists and small businesses in the arts community get through the COVID- 19 crisis. LINK: Read More
