1001 Nights: A Love Story About Loving Stories

What are the big conversations?

What power does a story have?
Can persons be divided into good or evil?
How does a person’s character change?
What’s the role of women in society?

Where’s the “Flying Carpet magic?”

1001 Nights is a delightful family musical from Robert Lopez, composer of the Tony-Award-winning musicals Avenue Q & The Book of Mormon, and the Oscar-winning song “Let it Go” from Disney’s Frozen. It features puppetry, comedy, and catchy songs.

Why is this important now?

ISIS is today beheading people for holding to a different worldview, or “story” about life.
The media tells us stories about street protests, or were they riots?…
were they our kids? or were they thugs?
Will people see Hillary Clinton as a viable candidate for the highest office in the land?

What awards were won by past productions?

Is there a niche audience?

The show appeals to all ages, but especially a young audience.
Fans of puppetry might be specifically targeted.
