About the Show
Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol gets re-imagined as story about criminal justice rather than greed, with a tough-on-crime DA for Ebenezer Scrooge, and a chorus of 19th Century minstrels for the Christmas ghosts. District Attorney Frank “Lock’emUp” Ciulla has no problem filling the state penitentiaries with drug felons, but his worldview is challenged when the ghost of a grotesque tap dancing clown named Jim Crow begins to haunt him. Now Frank is forced to reassess his attitude and its implications—past, present, and future. How will this colonel in the Drug War respond when confronted with the human toll of his policies?
